2024 T-Birds Conditioning Camp: Day-to-day details
Good Afternoon T-Bird Family!
This season is already gearing up to be a fun and exciting year. If you have signed up for the T-Birds Pre-Season Training Camp, please see all the details below.
On the first day of camp (Tuesday, May 28th), please aim to arrive between 5:00pm and 5:45pm to check-in and receive your camp T-Shirt. On Wednesday, May 29th, please wear your camp T-Shirt!
The camp will be held from Tuesday, May 28th to Thursday, June 13th, every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:00pm-8:00pm. All camp days will be held at Monte Vista High-School practice field (3131 Stone Valley Road, Danville).
What you will need to bring for camp everyday:
- Shorts
- Shirt
- Bring both Cleats and Athletic Shoes (running or tennis shoes)
- 1 gallon of water
- A great attitude
Remember, hydration starts before you arrive at camp. Stay hydrated during the day and aim to drink 17–20 ounces of water two hours before camp. Additionally drink 8 ounces about 20 to 30 minutes before camp starts. During your workout, aim to drink another 8 oz of water every 10 to 15 minutes. This is a non-contact training camp and the athletes will be divided into groups by age.
The training will consist of two main components:
1) Speed, Strength, and Agility Training Led by the Real Neal Sports Staff. This Includes:
- Sled and Weights training
- Medicine ball and Tire flip drills
- Plyometrics
2) Football Specific Training led by our very own T-Birds Coaching Staff. This Includes:
- OL/DL Fundamentals
- WR/DB Fundamentals
- QB/RB Specific drills
If you miss the first day of camp, please go to the shed no later than 5:30pm on the first day you are able to attend camp to check-in and receive your camp t-shirt.
